Another moment of the massacre during the baptism: Clemenza, with a shotgun, waits in a hotel. When the elevator doors open on Don Stracci and his bodyguard, he shoots them both. At the same time Don Cuneo is trapped in a revolving door and shot.
The place today
A 1904 luxury hotel at Fifth Avenue and 55th Street, built by John Jacob Astor IV, who died on the Titanic eight years later. According to movie-locations, Michael and Kay also stay here in the first film. Its King Cole Bar claims to be the birthplace of the Bloody Mary, and you don’t need a room to have a drink there.
