King’s Cross station — King’s Cross, London

In the London guidePlan a day here

On screen

Harry and Ginny, Ron and Hermione, now grown up, bring their children to the Hogwarts Express. On the platform Harry reassures his son Albus Severus, who is nervous about the Sorting, and the parents wave the train goodbye.

The place today

A working station. The platforms are behind the ticket barriers, but inside the station, next to the Harry Potter shop, there is a free photo spot with a trolley vanishing into the wall. Expect a queue; the paid professional photo is optional. The Google Maps link takes you to this spot.

Did you know? The epilogue was first shot in a rushed two days at the real station, then reshot on a Leavesden stage on 21 December 2010. What you see is a blend of both.
