Joey Zasa at the feast
Elizabeth Street — Little Italy and Nolita, Manhattan
In the New York guidePlan a day here
On screen
Little Italy is celebrating: a procession with the saint’s statue, flags, music and crowds in the street. Joey Zasa, who was involved in the Atlantic City attack, struts among his bodyguards. Vincent, disguised as a mounted policeman, follows him through the crowd and shoots him in the middle of the festivities.
The place today
A narrow, lively Nolita street parallel to Mott and Mulberry, with boutiques, cafés and old brick buildings. The sources don’t say which block was used, so the link points to the corner of Prince Street. The real thing, the Feast of San Gennaro, takes over neighbouring Mulberry Street every September, with a procession and food stalls.
