As punishment, Harry, Hermione, Neville and Malfoy follow Hagrid into the Forbidden Forest at night. They find a dead unicorn; a hooded figure drinking its blood goes for Harry until a centaur rescues him.

The place today

A public woodland and lake park right next to Pinewood Studios. Entry is free and parking is paid. According to the county council, it is its most popular filming location.

Did you know? Filming in a real forest the crew couldn’t control proved hard, so from the second film on the Forbidden Forest was built at the studios; that set is now part of the Studio Tour.
