Vito and Tommasino call on the now ancient, nearly deaf Don Ciccio, claiming they want his blessing for their olive-oil business. Vito leans close, tells him his father’s name, Antonio Andolini, and stabs him to death. As they flee, Tommasino is shot in the legs; when the family leaves Corleone station, he waves goodbye from a wheelchair.
The place today
An abandoned villa on private land in the Acireale countryside, listed on Google Maps as “Don Ciccio’s Villa from the Godfather II movie”. According to the Sicilian paper Balarm, the Don’s chair still stands where it was. Hard to reach; look from outside only.
