On screen
After a night flight over London on broomsticks, Harry and his guard land in the garden of a quiet square. They walk out through the gate, and between numbers 11 and 13 another house slowly pushes its way into view: number 12, headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix.
The place today
A Georgian residential square near Angel station. The houses are private, so photograph from the pavement and don’t disturb the residents. The film’s number 12 is a visual effect and doesn’t exist.
Did you know? The grassy “square” is actually a covered reservoir: the New River Company built the first one here in 1709.
